About Maeve McNeil

Background
I grew up in Skaneateles, a small town 30 minutes outside of Syracuse, New York, as the youngest of six siblings. I attended a small public high school where I played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse and graduated with honors.
I chose Loyola University Maryland for its size, community feel, and Jesuit values, and I’m currently majoring in Marketing with a minor in Information Systems & Data Analytics.
Outside the classroom, I’m involved in Women in Business, Loyola Marketing Ambassadors, and club soccer. I’ve held and internship at Erie Materials for two summers, gaining hands-on experience in marketing, data analysis, and financial services.
Whether it’s working behind the bar at a coffee shop or researching digital campaigns for a construction supplier, I love applying creativity and strategy to real-world problems.

Interest In Marketing
My interest in Marketing began with my oldest three sisters. All of which went to colleges similar to small catholic colleges to major in marketing. They explained to me the reason for this was because of the vast amount of skills learned during their education. They were able to use those skills at their jobs today.
Marketing is a great major because it is everywhere—businesses, brands, and even personal identities rely on marketing to connect with their audiences. It blends creativity with strategy, allowing you to develop innovative campaigns while using data to drive decisions. With endless career opportunities in industries like tech, fashion, sports, and finance, marketing offers a dynamic and ever-evolving field.
